Building a veal-based diet
Veal comes from young cattle. We list veal separately from beef, because some dogs that can’t have beef do fine on veal. For dogs that do well on it, pairing veal mince with veal bones keeps the diet consistent.
- Veal Mince: the muscle-meat base, 100% NZ veal.
- Veal Brisket Bones or Veal Neck Bones: raw bones for the bone part of the diet.
- Fussy Mix: veal and chicken with liver and offal.

Raw veal: common questions
Is veal the same as beef?
Veal comes from young cattle, but we list it separately from beef, because some dogs that can’t have beef do fine on veal. Our allergen filter treats them as separate meats.
Is veal suitable for cats?
Veal Mince and Fussy Mix are both on our list for cats. See our guide to feeding cats raw meat.
How do I store and thaw it?
Keep cartons in the freezer and thaw only what you need, in the fridge rather than on the bench.
