Building a beef-based diet

If your dog does well on beef, keeping the mince and the bones in the same protein family keeps the diet simple and consistent.

We list veal separately from beef, because some dogs that can’t have beef do fine on veal. Green tripe comes from adult cattle, so it counts as beef.

Use the allergen filter above the products to hide anything your dog can’t have.

Raw beef: common questions

Is the beef mince a single protein?

Yes. Beef Mince is 100% NZ beef, with no chicken, lamb, goat or horse. Our guide to pet mince versus supermarket mince compares the two.

My dog can’t have beef. What should I look at?

Try Chicken Mince, Goat Mince or Wild Mix, and filter out beef above the products. Green tripe counts as beef. Some dogs that can’t have beef do fine on Veal Mince.

How is it packed?

Beef Mince comes in 10 kg boxes, cut into blocks to make serving easier, so you only thaw what you need. The bones come in 10 kg cartons.

How do I store and thaw it?

Keep cartons in the freezer and thaw only what you need, in the fridge rather than on the bench.
