Active Dog Mix is raw food for working dogs, sporting breeds and busy pets, with beef, horse, offal and green tripe together in one mix. It suits farm dogs and dogs that run, hunt or compete, and it’s an easy way to add variety to a rotational raw diet, with horse as a second red meat alongside the usual beef.
What’s in it
- Beef. New Zealand-farmed beef.
- Horse. A red meat many dogs haven’t had before, which adds variety to the week.
- Offal. Organ meat, the part of a raw diet the 80/10/10 rule of thumb sets aside for organs.
- Green tripe. Unbleached stomach lining, a long-time favourite with raw feeders.
Free from
No chicken, lamb, goat, fish, venison, alpaca or grain. It does contain beef, and green tripe counts as beef too, so it isn’t one for dogs avoiding beef.
Feeding guide
Most adult dogs eat about 2 to 3% of their body weight a day, over one or two meals, and active dogs usually sit at the higher end. Our feed calculator works it out for your dog and tells you how many boxes to order.
Thaw it overnight in the fridge, then let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. If your dog is new to raw, mix it in with their current food over 7 to 10 days.

Add a raw meaty bone to the week, like Beef Neck Bones or Beef Brisket Bones.

Our cut-off is 11:59pm on Saturday. Order by then and your food arrives the following week.
Do you deliver to my address?
We deliver across suburban Auckland and Waikato. Check your address to see if we come to you and which day.
How does it arrive?
Packed in a liner inside a carton and delivered chilled by our own team. Most customers pop it straight in the freezer and thaw what they need.
Can I change my subscription later?
Yes. Log in to My account to see your subscription and change its delivery address, or get in touch and we'll sort anything else for you.
Trying Feed Raw for the first time?
Most of our customers already fed raw before they came to us, and we don't expect any issues with your first box. If something isn't right, get in touch within 14 days of delivery and a normal person will sort it out with you. That's for your first order with us, once per household. Faulty orders are covered by our returns policy.
