Building a goat-based diet
Goat is a common choice for dogs that need to stay away from beef or chicken. Keeping the mince and the bones on the same protein keeps the diet simple and consistent. Our guide to novel proteins explains how to introduce one.
- Goat Mince: the muscle-meat base, 100% NZ goat.
- Goat Bones: raw goat bones for the bone part of the diet.
- Wild Mix: horse, goat, venison and alpaca, with offal, for variety without beef or chicken.
Goat can sell out. If it is out of stock, leave your email in the “Notify me when this is back in stock” box on the product page and we will let you know.
Use the allergen filter above the products to hide anything your dog can’t have.
Raw goat: common questions
Is goat a single protein?
Goat Mince and Goat Bones are 100% NZ goat. Wild Mix adds horse, venison, alpaca and offal.
Does Balance Mix work with goat?
Balance Mix contains chicken and green tripe (which counts as beef), so it is not a fit for dogs avoiding those proteins.
How do I store and thaw it?
Keep cartons in the freezer and thaw only what you need, in the fridge rather than on the bench.
