Beef Mince

Just New Zealand beef, minced and packed in blocks. There is nothing else in the box, so it slots into whatever feeding plan you already follow, whether that’s a homemade BARF routine or a rotation of our mixes. Unlike supermarket mince, it is made for pets and sold by the 10 kg box.

No chicken, lamb, goat, fish, horse, venison, alpaca or grain. With only beef in it, it suits owners who keep poultry out of the bowl or who feed one protein at a time.

Beef Mince is the meat part of the bowl. On the 80/10/10 rule of thumb that’s about 80%, with raw bone and organ making up the rest. To add organ, tripe and bone in one go, mix two parts Beef Mince with one part Balance Mix. Most adult dogs eat about 2 to 3% of their body weight a day, and our feed calculator works out the amount for your dog. Thaw it overnight in the fridge and serve it raw, never cooked.

Thawed mince keeps two to three days in a sealed container in the fridge. As the main meal, with raw bones making up a tenth of the diet as the calculator plans it, a 10 kg box lasts a 10 kg dog about 6 weeks, a 20 kg dog about 3 weeks and a 30 kg dog about 2 weeks.

Beef Mince is made to order in the Waikato and delivered chilled across Auckland and the Waikato. Each 10 kg box is cut into blocks of about 500 g, stacked in a liner inside a 36 × 27 × 18 cm carton and ready for the freezer.
