Our Veal Mince is raw veal mince for dogs and cats, made from 100% New Zealand veal with nothing else added. Veal comes from young cattle, with a milder flavour and a finer texture than beef, which makes it an easy way to add variety.
What’s in it
Just New Zealand veal, minced and packed in blocks. No other meats, fillers or additives. For a dog that already eats beef, it’s an easy swap, so you can rotate the two through the week without changing the routine.
Free from
No beef, chicken, lamb, goat, fish, horse, venison, alpaca or grain. We list veal separately from beef, because some dogs that can’t have beef do fine on veal.
How to feed it
Veal Mince is the meat part of the bowl, about 80% on the 80/10/10 rule of thumb. To add organ, tripe and bone in one go, mix two parts Veal Mince with one part Balance Mix, or add them separately if you prefer. Most adult dogs eat about 2 to 3% of their body weight a day, and our feed calculator works out the amount for dogs and cats. Thaw it overnight in the fridge and serve it raw. Cats eat much smaller portions, so it helps to split a thawed block into a few containers in the fridge.

Veal Mince is made to order in the Waikato and delivered chilled across Auckland and the Waikato. Each 10 kg box is cut into blocks, so you only thaw what you need.

How does it arrive?
Packed in a liner inside a carton and delivered chilled by our own team. Most customers pop it straight in the freezer and thaw what they need.
