Description
Chicken Mince — clean, simple, single protein
Feed Raw Chicken Mince is made from 100% New Zealand chicken — no fillers, no additives and no blending with other proteins. First and foremost, it is a versatile base for raw feeding that works as a standalone meal or as the protein component in a balanced BARF diet. As a result, it suits both new raw feeders and experienced ones building a custom plan.
What’s in it
Chicken — A lean, highly digestible protein naturally rich in niacin (B3) and selenium, which support cellular metabolism and antioxidant function. Moreover, chicken is one of the most palatable proteins for both dogs and cats, so it tends to win over fussy eaters.
Why chicken mince works so well
Because it is a single protein, this mince gives you complete control over what goes in the bowl. As a result, it is ideal for rotation diets, for transitioning a pet onto raw, or as a gentle everyday staple. Likewise, its soft texture makes it easy to portion and easy to mix with other components.
Good for sensitive pets
Chicken Mince contains only chicken — free from beef, lamb, goat, horse and grain. As a result, it is an excellent choice for pets on an elimination diet or those sensitive to red-meat proteins.
How to feed it
Feed as part of a balanced raw diet. For a complete plan, follow the simple 80/10/10 guide — 80% muscle meat, 10% raw bone and 10% organ. This mince forms the muscle-meat portion, so you simply add a raw bone and a little organ to round out the bowl. As a starting point, most adult dogs eat around 2 to 3% of their body weight in raw food each day, split across one or two meals.
Storage and handling
Your mince arrives frozen and should be kept frozen until needed. First, move a portion to the fridge the night before to thaw it gently. Next, keep any thawed product refrigerated and use it within two to three days. As with all raw food, wash bowls and surfaces after each meal.
Pairs well with
Mix with Balance Mix in a 2:1 ratio for a nutritionally complete BARF meal, or rotate in Chicken and Fish Rolls for variety across an all-poultry-and-fish diet.
