Description

Goat Mince — a novel protein for sensitive pets

Feed Raw Goat Mince is made from 100% New Zealand goat — one of the least allergenic proteins available for pets. First and foremost, it is an excellent choice for dogs and cats on elimination diets or those that have exhausted more common protein sources. As a result, it has become a go-to option for owners managing tricky food sensitivities.

What’s in it

Goat — A lean, easily digestible novel protein naturally rich in iron, potassium and B12. Moreover, goat has a lower fat content than beef or lamb and is considered one of the most hypoallergenic animal proteins available. For that reason it is frequently recommended by vets for pets with complex dietary needs.

Why goat mince works so well

Because it is a true single protein, this mince gives you full control over what goes in the bowl. As a result, it is ideal for rotation diets and for introducing a brand-new protein during an elimination trial. Likewise, its soft texture makes it easy to portion and easy to mix with other components.

Good for sensitive pets

Goat Mince contains only goat — free from beef, chicken, lamb, fish, horse and grain. It is one of the cleanest single-protein options available for pets with complex sensitivities.

How to feed it

Feed as part of a balanced raw diet. For a complete plan, follow the simple 80/10/10 guide — 80% muscle meat, 10% raw bone and 10% organ. This mince forms the muscle-meat portion, so you simply add a raw bone and a little organ to round out the bowl. As a starting point, most adult dogs eat around 2 to 3% of their body weight in raw food each day, split across one or two meals.

Storage and handling

Your mince arrives frozen and should be kept frozen until needed. First, move a portion to the fridge the night before to thaw it gently. Next, keep any thawed product refrigerated and use it within two to three days. As with all raw food, wash bowls and surfaces after each meal.

Pairs well with

Add Goat Bones to cover the raw-bone portion of the 80/10/10 plan, or rotate in Lamb & Heart Rolls for variety across a novel-protein diet.
