Description
Veal Brisket Bones — gentler raw bones for smaller dogs and puppies
Feed Raw Veal Brisket Bones are sourced from 100% New Zealand veal. Because veal is young beef, these bones are naturally softer than adult beef bones, which makes them an ideal choice for smaller breeds, puppies and dogs that need a gentler chewing option. As a result, they have become a firm favourite for households feeding a raw diet to younger or sensitive pets.
Why veal brisket bones work so well
Softer and more pliable than adult beef bones, veal brisket bones are less likely to splinter and easier on developing or sensitive teeth. Moreover, they deliver natural calcium and phosphorus in their most bioavailable whole-food form, along with marrow for healthy fats and iron. Chewing on raw bones also helps scrape away plaque, so it supports clean teeth and healthy gums at the same time.
Good for sensitive pets
Veal Brisket Bones contain only veal — free from chicken, lamb, goat, fish and horse. However, please note that veal is young beef, so these bones are not suitable for pets with a beef sensitivity.
How to feed it
Raw bones make up the 10% bone portion of a balanced 80/10/10 raw diet — that is 80% muscle meat, 10% raw bone and 10% organ. Offer a brisket bone a few times a week alongside muscle meat and organ rather than as a complete meal on its own. Always supervise your dog while they chew, and make sure fresh water is available.
Storage and handling
Your bones arrive frozen and should be kept frozen until needed. First, move a portion to the fridge the night before to thaw it gently. Next, keep any thawed bones refrigerated and use them within two to three days. As with all raw food, wash bowls and surfaces after each meal.
Pairs well with
Serve alongside Veal Neck Bones as a softer chew option, or pair with Beef Mince for a complete raw meal.
